CURRENT AND UPCOMING BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTHs

BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH Extravaganza here at MMPQ

Our Baltimore Halloween BOM begins on October26, 12:30 pm (following Show Time).  This beautiful BOM will be done in a classroom setting taught by Linda Neal.  You can register online or at the shop.  This is a 12 month BOM at a cost of $25 each month.  Fabric is not included but you will have to purchase the pattern and these are in stock.  I hope you will join us for this fun BOM.  The pattern is a P3 design.

Also, new from Timeless Treasures and A Wing and A Prayer....Botanical Park

The 14-piece Tonga Batik Botanica Park collection features a garden of greens, blues, blossom pinks and berries, plus lavender that deepens into rich purple. The 107" quilt highlights each color in a traditionally pieced blooming center block, surrounded by patchwork paths and curved scultpure garden corners.

Inspired by a love of Ohio Stars, this pattern has taken the basic Ohio Star Block and created 12 fresh blocks for a Technique Building Series (TBS).  This TBS, will taught by Paige Matheson as a 6 month block of the month.  This BOM looks really complicated but is made with basic units, some with a twist or pop here and there.  Whether you are a beginner or advanced quilter, you should jump in with no reservations and have fun with it.  There are 3 different quilt settings, using these spectacular blocks, or you can elect to put them in your own quilt setting.

The pattern series has 12 blocks, each with their own colored worksheet with cutting and piecing instructions for the featured block, plus a booklet with 3 setting options.  Instruction will include; talking through color and value selection and placement, tips to hone cutting and piecing skills, learning to use Studio 180 Design Tools, plus you will complete awesome blocks creating a spectacular sample quilt.  2 blocks will be taught each month!  Students must pre-cut prior to class.  Two classes each month will be offered....the 2nd Saturday or the 3rd Thursday for 6 months beginning in August.
